An elegant Esfahan woven in wool, this antique rug presents a restrained cream field warmed by gold and tan highlights around a finely detailed central medallion. The surface reads soft and tactile, its floral vines and palmettes rendered in delicate linework and set off by pale blue guard borders. Low overall distress preserves a near-even pile and the design’s clarity, while subtle abrash gives the field a lived, luminous quality. Circa 1985 - 2000. Measurements: 5' 0" x 7' 9". The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
