An Oushak of generous proportion, this antique rug balances a warm, faded pink field with three large, sculpted medallions in ivory and soft blue. The wool surface carries a layered patina; abrash and medium wear have mellowed contrasts and yielded a tactile, low-sheen finish. Repeated small motifs animate the ground while a narrow, multi-band floral border contains the composition with considered restraint. The hand of time is visible but elegant, the palette whispering between neutral and rose. Exact scale is 13' 7" x 19' 3". Circa 1900 - 1920. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
