A generous Sultanabad in wool, 10' 8" x 13' 3", with a soft cream ground that frames large palmettes and linked floral sprays. The composition reads architectural and calm, motifs articulated in warm brown and neutral tones that have mellowed with time. Low distress preserves a supple pile and clearly defined borders, while subtle abrash and gentle surface wear attest to age without obscuring pattern. The antique rug balances scale and restraint; its tactile presence and quiet palette feel both considered and lived-in. Circa 1890 - 1910. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
