An expansive Oushak in warm red and gold-washed tones, this antique rug reads with the calm authority of handworked wool and time. A large central medallion anchors rows of stylised palmettes and floating medallions across a richly saturated field, set within a wide floral border. The pile shows low, even wear and subtle abrash that softens the palette without obscuring detail. The scale is generous and tactile, the wool retaining a muted luster. Circa 1900 - 1940. Measurements: 10' 7" x 19' 4". The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
