A generous Sultanabad in wool, its field arranged with generous stylised floral medallions, cartouches and scattered palmettes. The neutral ground is warmed by red and pink highlights that read like a slowly sunlit patina; traces of pale blue and gold give subtle depth. Surface wear is modest, the pile soft and even, preserving the original pattern clarity. This antique rug carries a calm, tactile presence and a sense of age that is evident but understated. Circa 1900 - 1915. Dimensions: 12' 5" x 17' 3". The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
