This Oushak antique rug in wool measures 5' 10" x 7' 5" and balances a faded rose field with saffron, pale aqua, ivory, and soft mint accents. A large floral medallion opens through the centre, framed by a stepped arch and layered borders that keep the composition feeling airy and lived in. The surface shows medium wear, with gentle abrash and softened detail that temper the richer red notes. Circa 1925 - 1945, it carries the relaxed elegance and colour depth that make Oushak weaving so enduring. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
