This Sultanabad antique rug measures 7' 6" x 11' 2" and presents a quietly layered composition in cream, white, muted blue, rust, charcoal, and gold. The allover floral field is softened by age, while the border holds its form with scrolling motifs and dark contrast that frames the lighter centre. There is a faded, timeworn quality throughout, with the field gently worn and the pattern drifting in and out of view. Circa 1925 - 1940, it carries the relaxed elegance and visual depth that define a well-aged Sultanabad. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
