This Oushak antique rug, 16' 6" x 17' 8", carries a softly weathered field in coral red, teal, and gold, with a spacious allover lattice of floral medallions and angular blossoms. The layered borders frame the composition with rosettes and small geometric details, while the wool surface shows gentle fading and a relaxed, lived-in hand. Its palette has mellowed into muted warmth, allowing the pattern to read with ease rather than formality. Circa 1920 - 1940, it reflects the broad, decorative language associated with Oushak weaving, balanced here by visible age and low distress.
