This Shiraz antique rug measures 3' 2" x 4' 0" and carries the quiet depth of age in its worn brown ground and softened border work. The field is gently reduced to a faded, allover tracery, while the perimeter still holds fragments of geometric detail in cream, taupe, and muted blue. Its surface reads dry and timeworn, with pronounced abrasion and a relaxed, lived-in character throughout. Circa 1900 - 1915, it reflects the restrained warmth and utility often found in enduring wool village weaving. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
