This Gharabah antique rug measures 6' 0" x 12' 3" and carries a quiet, layered presence in wool. The field is worked with an allover arrangement of floral forms, vine scrolls, and small geometric accents, while the border sequence adds structure with repeated motifs and weathered colour shifts. Warm taupe, brown, olive, muted blue, and ivory create a softened palette that reads as both aged and composed. Circa 1900 - 1920, it shows medium wear, with faded passages and gentle abrash that lend depth without obscuring the design. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
