This Soumak antique rug, 7' 3" x 11' 8", presents a layered geometric field in navy, coral pink, ivory, and warm beige, with a quietly worn surface that softens the overall contrast. Repeated starburst medallions and octagonal anchors are framed by smaller floral motifs and a strong zigzag border, giving the composition a measured rhythm. The wool pile shows low distress and visible age, with edge wear that adds character without overwhelming the design. Circa 1900 - 1920, it carries the grounded, graphic presence that defines the best Soumak weaves.
