This Soumak antique rug measures 6' 7" x 9' 11" and carries a weathered balance of rust red, faded blue, ivory, and brown. The composition is anchored by stacked geometric medallions, each framed with stepped outlines and small tribal devices that repeat across the field. A dense border system adds rhythm at the edges, while the surface shows medium distress, softened colour, and worn, luminous passage. Circa 1925 - 1955, it has the layered, collected character that makes an antique rug feel quietly storied without losing clarity in its pattern.
