This Seneh antique rug measures 8' 1" x 10' 4" and carries a softly faded, layered presence in cream, white, muted blue, green, and rust. The allover floral field is gently abstracted, while a slender border with repeating motifs still frames the composition with restraint. High distress has mellowed the surface, leaving areas of diffuse patterning and a timeworn hand. Circa 1900 - 1935, it reads as collected and settled, with a quiet patina that gives the design its depth and softness. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
