This Seneh antique rug measures 11' 8" x 15' 9" and presents an all-over lattice of small floral motifs, framed by a fine series of borders. The field is softened by faded teal, brown, cream, and muted red, creating a layered surface with quiet movement across the whole composition. Visible wear brings a timeworn clarity to the pattern, especially through the centre, where darker bands interrupt the field and emphasise its age. Circa 1885 - 1900, it carries the restrained balance and density associated with Seneh weaving, with a grounded, collected presence that feels both textural and refined.
