This Bijar antique rug measures 3' 4" x 16' 8" and carries the long, disciplined presence these weavings are known for. A faded blue ground is layered with sage, ivory, taupe, and warm brown, creating a dense floral field punctuated by boteh, rosettes, and small geometric details. The borders hold the composition with rhythmic tribal patterning and a weathered edge character that softens the whole. Low distress and muted colour give it a grounded, collected feel. Circa 1900 - 1915, it reads as both structured and worn in, with a quiet depth that comes from age.
