A Seneh in restrained neutrals, this antique rug reads as an exercise in pattern and patience. The 4' 3" x 6' 0" piece places a pale central medallion within a tightly worked geometric lattice, the small motifs resolving into warm cream and neutral tones. A narrow, russet-accented guard border frames the field, its colours softened by surface wear and even abrash. The wool pile shows medium distress that lends a tactile, timeworn depth and a low, supple hand. The overall presence is quiet and material-led, a study in age and craft. Circa 1890 - 1910
