A bold Serapi with a luminous ivory ground and a forceful indigo-star medallion, this antique rug balances saturated coral and pale blue accents against a creamy field. The composition reads geometric and botanical at once, the central medallion articulated by angular palmettes and stylised vine work that extend toward a deep navy border. Wool pile retains clear color and a soft hand, the surface showing low, even wear that preserves the vocabulary of the original dyes. Circa 1885 - 1925. Dimensions: 13' 7" x 18' 4". The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
