A quietly refined Sivas in wool, the field rendered in a muted neutral ground punctuated by softened red and sage accents. The allover arrangement of palmettes, roundels and fine vinework reads as a faded formal pattern, its outlines mellowed by even wear. A single floral border frames the composition with slightly stronger colour, adding depth while the body retains a tactile, low-relief surface. This antique rug carries evident medium distress that lends a collected, lived-in character without compromising pattern legibility. Circa 1890 - 1910. Exact size 10' 0" x 12' 0".
