A Sivas in wool, 4' 3" x 6' 6", its field washed in muted mauve that sits against a warm brown central medallion. Subtle abrash and low distress reveal a soft, velvety pile and a composed arrangement of stepped geometric and floral motifs, framed by layered floral borders. The palette balances neutral tones with faded red and navy accents, giving the piece a quiet, aged presence. The hand of traditional weaving is evident in the layered colour and considered motif work; an antique rug that reads as both tactile object and heritage piece. Circa 1880 - 1900
