A Ghiordes wool runner defined by a saturated red field and a serrated, elongated central medallion worked in cream and neutral tones. Geometric palmettes and stylised floral motifs fill a compact field, contained by multiple floral guard borders that give the composition a rhythmic cadence. Low distress reveals an even patina and soft abrash where dyes have mellowed; edges are sound and the short fringe is intact. The surface reads tactile and worn in a way that highlights hand and age.
