A soft gold field and faded pink border give this Ghiordes a quietly sun-washed presence. Stylised palmettes and floral sprays float across a broad, neutral ground with coral highlights and low contrast between motifs. The wool shows medium surface wear and even abrash that reads as gentle age rather than damage; the hand is supple and the palette muted. This is an antique rug with calm, tactile character and an expansive, architectural scale. Circa 1890 - 1910. Exact size: 10' 6" x 17' 0".
