An elongated Sarouk runner in rich red wool, 2' 9" x 23' 8", presents a measured sequence of repeating central medallions and floral palmettes across a warmly abrased field. Neutral highlights and faded blue accents quietly register within the red ground, while a navy foliate border contains the composition. Low distress preserves legible motifs and a tactile, time-softened surface; the ends show gentle wear consistent with long use yet the overall structure remains tidy.
