A Sivas in a saturated red field, this 4' 7" x 6' 7" example displays a formal central medallion framed by scrolling palmettes and floral vines. Wool tones of gold, teal and soft neutrals sit like layered pigments against the pile, lending depth and warmth to the surface. The weave shows low wear and a gentle abrash that reads as quiet age rather than loss, preserving a tactile, layered hand. Narrow guard borders refine the composition and keep the pattern in measured balance. There is a restrained, heirloom quality to the piece, presented here as an antique rug. Circa 1900 - 1915
