An intimate Sarouk runner in saturated red wool, 2' 2" x 4' 3", where a stylized central medallion radiates into a closely packed floral vine. Cream and muted blue accents lift the warm crimson ground, while a narrow navy border of rosettes frames the composition. Low surface wear preserves a soft, tactile pile and a sense of slow, handworked aging; abrash reads as depth rather than loss. The piece reads as an antique rug with calm proportion and refined pattern, its presence defined by materiality and careful restraint. Circa 1900 - 1935
