This Sarouk antique rug, 2' 0" x 4' 0", carries a dense allover floral design in saturated red, muted teal-blue, brown, and neutral accents. The field is layered with scrolling palmettes and bouquet-like forms, all enclosed by a dark, patterned border that deepens the composition. Woven in wool, it has a low-distress finish with softened colour and visible age at the edges, giving the piece a grounded, lived-in character. Circa 1910 - 1925, it reflects the refined balance and ornament of classic Sarouk weaving while retaining a compact, highly graphic presence.
