This Sivas antique rug measures 4' 3" x 7' 1" and presents a classic Ottoman-influenced layout softened by time. A deep navy field supports a scalloped central medallion, floral sprays, and a finely framed border system in red, cream, and muted gold. The drawing remains graceful even through the visible wear, with abrasion and fading lending the surface a quiet, lived-in patina. Woven in wool, it balances structure and ornament with the restrained elegance that defines the Sivas tradition. Circa 1880 - 1895, it carries both clarity and patina in equal measure.
