This Sivas antique rug measures 9' 7" x 13' 3" and carries an allover field of softened floral medallions and vinework in cream, beige, and muted earth tones. The surface shows high distress, with faded passages and worn areas that lend the pattern a quietly layered, time-softened presence. A faint border frames the composition without interrupting its openness, allowing the ornament to read as both detailed and restrained. Circa 1880 - 1900, it reflects the gentler register of a well-aged wool rug, where patina has become part of the design.
