This Ghiordes antique rug measures 2' 4" x 12' 5" and carries a long, elegant composition in wool. A deep rose ground sets off a vertical procession of hanging urn motifs, flanked by slender floral borders and small blossom accents. The palette shifts between faded terracotta, muted sage, dusty blue, ivory, and pale gold, creating a worn but balanced surface with a softly timeworn glow. Circa 1900 - 1925, it reflects a restrained decorative language and a low, even level of distress that preserves the clarity of the pattern while allowing the age of the piece to remain visible.
