This Ghiordes antique rug measures 9' 11" x 16' 5" and carries a quietly weathered presence, with a layered field of floral motifs softened by age. Cream and ivory dominate, while faded rose, burgundy, and pale blue remain in the borders and pattern traces. The design reads with a restrained symmetry, framed by multiple borders and small-scale botanical detail. Heavy wear has dissolved portions of the surface into a luminous, timeworn haze, giving the piece a calm, atmospheric depth. Circa 1890 - 1910. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
