This Agra is a broadloom-scale wool antique rug, 11' 9" x 17' 8". The field reads as a softened, neutral-pastel ground threaded with an all-over palmette and vine lattice; small rosettes and scrolling arabesques emerge like a faded garden. A deep navy main border frames the field, its scrolling vine drawing the eye to the rug's composed geometry. Surface wear and abrash create a satin patina across the pile; the medium distress lends time-worn depth to the soft wool. Circa 1900 - 1920. The overall effect is tactile and restrained, a heritage piece where pattern and age are in quiet conversation.
