A quietly refined Larestan rendered in a muted cream ground, this antique rug reads as a wash of ivory and warm beige with cool grey accents. At 9' 0" x 11' 8" the wool shows high distress; an allover floral and diamond lattice has softened into a low-contrast, watercolour-like field while the outer floral border remains legible but worn. Abrash bands and softened pile create a tactile, lived-in surface that highlights the rug's age and craft. The overall effect is restrained and heritage-aware, a pale, contemplative study in tone and texture. Circa 1895 - 1910
