The field reads like a faded textile painting, cream and beige washed with pale blue and teal abrash that breathe through a tiny floral-lattice ground. A narrow inner rule frames a wide palmette border worked in muted tones; the border pattern remains distinct while the field has softened with age. The surface shows medium distress and a low, worn pile that highlights the rug's tactile patina. An antique rug with a calm, timeworn presence, this piece measures 7' 6" x 8' 10". Circa 1945 - 1960
