N.W. Persian / 10243

The N.W. Persian is a finely balanced wool antique rug, its deep navy field populated by a repeating lattice of red and gold rosettes and stylised blossoms. Measuring 10' 6" x 14' 6", the piece retains low distress and a soft polished pile that emphasizes handwork and time-worn colour. Narrow floral borders frame the allover pattern, lending a measured rhythm to the surface. Subtle abrash and gentle mellowing bring a tactile depth to the saturated palette, making the weave read as both geometric and richly organic. Circa 1900 - 1920
