Fields of neutral and brown frame repeated rosette medallions and diagonal vine axes, while a broad cream guard border provides graphic contrast. The surface shows low wear and a soft, even fade that emphasizes the rug's tactile, worked-in character. This antique rug carries the quiet authority of handwork and age without heavy loss to its composition, revealing craftsmanship in each motif and border. Circa 1885 - 1925.
