An expansive Serapi in wool, offered in a quiet, sun-softened palette. The 11' 9" x 18' 2" scale allows the large stepped medallion and serrated mihrab to read architecturally, while palmette and vine work animate the borders. Surface wear is honest and even, the pile softened to an antique rug patina that emphasizes tactility and age. Faded golds and browns sit against muted celadon and rust accents, producing restrained colour depth through abrash. The composition maintains clarity despite medium distress, conveying crafted geometry and timeworn character. Circa 1885 - 1900
