This Serapi runner carries a spare, geometric clarity: three linked lozenges set on a warm red ground, deep blue inner fields and ivory spandrels threaded with small rosettes. Woven in wool, the palette balances saturated red with cream and neutral accents and a narrow dotted border that frames the composition. Surface wear is low and the pile shows a soft, even abrash that reads like living patina. The tactile hand and antique rug presence are immediate and understated. Circa 1885 - 1905.
