This Serapi presents a commanding central medallion set into a broad wool field, the design articulated through blue, neutral, white and cream contrasts. Crisp ivory spandrels frame the medallion while disciplined floral and angular motifs move across the surface with restrained energy. Low distress preserves strong pattern definition and a tactile wool pile that retains its structure and colour transitions. The borders remain well resolved, showing only minor edge wear and a soft overall patina. The rug measures 13' 0" x 19' 10" and reads as an object of craft and time, an antique rug with architectural presence. Circa 1880 - 1900
