This Serapi antique rug measures 9' 9" x 12' 9" and presents a finely balanced field of red, navy, cream, and gold. A strong central medallion anchors the composition, while angular floral reserves and an intricate border bring depth and motion to the surface. The palette feels warm yet disciplined, with muted accents of green and light blue woven through the design. Low distress preserves much of the clarity of the pattern, though the pile shows the gentle wear and softened tone expected of age. Circa 1880 - 1895, it carries the stately presence that defines the best Serapi rugs.
