A refined Tabriz Haji Jalili in wool, 9' 0" x 12' 5", defined by a large central medallion set into a warm red field and framed by dense floral arabesques in neutral and cream. The scalloped cartouche and finely drawn palmettes give the composition a disciplined symmetry, while layered borders provide a soft counterpoint. Surface condition is low distress; a gentle, even abrash across the field adds depth without compromising the design. This antique rug reads as an atelier piece, tactile and quietly architectural, the palette and patterning speaking to sustained craft and age. Circa 1900 - 1915
