Tabriz Haji Jalili presents a classical medallion composition worked in a warm red ground framed by layered floral borders. The dense vine-and-palmette field resolves into shaped corner spandrels and a complex central medallion rendered in tan and ivory accents. Handwoven in wool with a restrained, low-distress surface, the piece retains crisp motif definition and a subtle, tactile patina. The palette reads red, brown and neutral with navy outlining that gives depth to the overall design. This antique rug measures 12' 7" x 20' 1" and displays restrained age and careful preservation. Circa 1885 - 1935.
