A softly muted Tabriz Haji Jalili in wool, rendered in warm beiges and creams that read almost monochrome. A faded central medallion anchors a scrolling floral vine field, surrounded by layered floral borders whose outlines persist beneath the wear. High distress has softened pattern edges, lifted pile and introduced small losses and repairs that read as patina on this antique rug. The 5' 0" x 5' 6" scale and subtle abrash provide a quiet, tactile surface where motifs breathe with age. Circa 1880 - 1910. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
