Tabriz Haji Jalili presents a composed central floral medallion set within a warm rust-red field and framed by a deep navy floral border and ivory cartouche. Woven in wool, the restrained palette of red, navy and neutral tones has softened into subtle abrash while pattern lines remain well defined. Layered palmettes, scrolling vines and a radiating rosette read as disciplined, painterly design; the pile shows low, even wear and a tactile, hand-aged surface. This antique rug carries the quiet authority of long use and considered making. Circa 1900 - 1915. Measures 10' 10" x 13' 4".
